The Writer

As a Certified Independent Organic Farm Inspector I travel to farms all over the state, providing the  annual inspection required for their on-going organic certification. My experiences in the sugar maple farms of Maine's North Woods led me to write my first novel, "Murder in the Maple Woods."

 

It's a story set in the francophone sugar camps in NW Somerset County, Maine. I have worked up there for years and find the place and the people so interesting and little known. I thought it would be a fun challenge to invent a mystery, the solution to which lies in understanding how the organic certification process works. And so, my writing journey began.
